    The J.W. Parmley Museum will be having their yearly organization meeting on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum. They will talk about current projects underway, things planned in the future and any other long term plans people want to present.   • Feeding South Dakota distribution

    The Feeding South Dakota Mobile Food Pantry will return to Edmunds County soon. The Food Pantry will be in Ipswich Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Edmunds County 4-H Building. The Food Pantry will be in Bowdle on Thursday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Proxy pickups are allowed. Complete the SD Feeding form and give it to your proxy to bring with to the food distribution.   • Hosmer landmark torn down

    The building that was used as Hosmer City Hall for many years was torn down last weekend. The building was built in 1930. Bonds were sold for $3,500 to finance part of the new hall. It was used for city meetings, fire department meetings and even wedding receptions and church suppers. Repairs were done in the 1960's to the building. Before it was completely demolished the jail housed in the city hall was moved to a new location....

    To the Editor, I would like to thank Vaughn Beck for pointing out that SDCL 9-9-8 is not applicable for the form of municipal government that Ipswich has. It is somewhat comforting to know that the applicable State law governing the process for appointing a mayor was followed.
