    Ray Geditz of Ipswich was one of the recipients of the South Dakota Farm Bureau's 2024 Quasquicentennial Farm and Ranch Award recognized at the S.D. State Fair in Huron.     The Cloverbuds 4-H Club Open House will be held on Sunday, September 29 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich from 4-5 p.m. Leader Sarah Perrion will be available to explain the program to families.     The Ipswich marching band will compete in the Roncalli Marching Band Festival on Wednesday, Oct.2.     Planning is underway for the Edmunds Central Homecoming festivities October 7-11. The senior class chose the theme for the week — “Holidays: Celebrating Thunder Success Year-Round!” Coronation will be held Monday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the EC Fine Arts Gymnasium.     The North Central football got a 45-14 win over Northwestern on Sept. 20 in Mellette. NC’s Tim Rucker scored twice in the first quarter. Both were passes from Kobe Wherry.
