    The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded Agtegra Cooperative a grant through the Fertilizer Production Expansion Program (FPEP). The grant enables awardees to increase or expand the manufacturing and processing of local fertilizer and nutrient alternatives for farmers. Agtegra Cooperative in South Dakota is receiving a $3 million grant to build a new fertilizer manufacturing building and install two storage tanks with a combined capacity of 950,000 gallons.     The Ipswich Commercial Club will sponsor the 2025 Snow Queen Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at the School Theatre. Kathryn Kilber is the only contestant for 2025 Miss Ipswich Snow Queen.     The Edmunds Central and Bowdle Snow Queen Festival is planned on Sunday,  Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Roscoe Legion. Three Edmunds Central students are vying for 2025 Miss Edmunds Central Junior Snow Queen.     In the football battle of the Tigers on Halloween, the Howard Tigers were the most powerful. The Howard Tigers stopped the Ipswich Tigers 54-0 in Howard in the Class 9A State Quarterfinal. The IHS 2024 football season ended with seven wins and three losses. The undefeated Howard Tigers will now face undefeated Warner in Howard on Friday, Nov. 8.
