    The Edmunds County 4-H Recognition Event was held Monday, November 18 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich. The evening started with a potluck supper followed by the awards ceremony. The 4-H members, leaders, and friends of 4-H were honored for their accomplishments and contributions.     Looking back at Ipswich High School sports since 2000, Marv Seyer has written a new book. He wrote “100 Years of Ipswich High School Sports” in 2000. He has written an update to that book, “The Prosperous Years 2000-2024.” Seyer called these the prosperous years because of the IHS athletic accomplishments since 2000, including 42 state trophies and plaques (16 championships). “I feel the achievements of this group of students have to be recognized,” Seyer said.     Michael Owen Walth, age 77, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away on November 6, 2024. Born on May 30, 1947, in Aberdeen, to Earl M. Walth and Margaret A. Rasmussen, Michael was the eldest of four children, with one brother, Stephen, and two sisters, Janet and Mary.
