The Ipswich Fifth Grade class recently finished a lesson on Robotics.

Lego EV3 kits were received from the Sioux Falls Regional Extension Office for use in Carol Lacher and Brandi Schlosser's classrooms. Assisting in the teaching was Bonnie Nehlich, 4-H Youth Program Advisor.

The students were paired up and assembled the Cowbot robot. They used Chromebooks to program the robot to move forward and backward, make turns, and lift up a paper cow and move it to another spot. They also worked with the color, touch, and ultrasonic sensors.
