Magical Medora Christmas tour coming to Ipswich

October 17, 2018

This traveling holiday favorite from Medora features Badlands stars of the past and present bringing you some of the season's best music and a wonderful story for the entire family to enjoy.

Five legendary Medora performers are bringing a family-friendly Holiday Show to audiences in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Montana. The show in Ipswich will be one of only two performances in South Dakota this year.

The show will be held at the Ipswich High School Theatre on Nov. 25 at 4 p.m.

Mark Gramm of Gramm Funeral Home helped to secure the shows stop in Ipswich. “This is a wonderful opportunity for area fans of Medora Musical and those who have never had the opportunity to travel to Medora, to see their famous Christmas show right here in our community.” said Gramm.

A Magical Medora Christmas show will feature vocal performances by the amazing "Queen of the West" Emily Walter, Broadway stars Jared Mason, and Job Christenson. It will also feature the musical talents of Chad Willow.

Throughout the show, Bill Sorensen brings the spirit of Christmas through his gift of humor, magic and love.

“The Medora Christmas shows have sold out performances everywhere they take this show. We are lucky to have it here as much larger towns were attempting to book the show but we were able to bring it to Ipswich. The next night the group travels on to Pierre,” said Gramm. “With the way the ticket sales have been going I expect that the show will sell out very quickly.”

The show’s proceeds will be entirely going to support the Ipswich American Legion Elstad-Archer Post #67. “This group of guys has done so much over the years with nearly zero funding, from supporting baseball activities, South Dakota Boys State representatives from our school, supporting other youth activities and of course providing military honors to fallen veterans. When I learned that most of their expenses were coming from their own pockets it just made sense that this is a group that truly could use the support and was glad to partner with them on this show,” said Gramm.

Tickets are available at Ipswich State Bank, First State Bank of Roscoe, Gramm Funeral Home or by contacting any Legion member. More information and a full schedule is available at Medora.com .
