"Moolah for Mike" fundraiser at school

November 7, 2018

The school theme for the year is “connecting and building relationships” and it is time to connect with members of the community.

This month the school has decided to connect with a long-time member of the Tiger community by doing what they can to help him after a serious accident. “Mike Williams had an accident earlier this year and deserves our support,” said guidance director Kathy Goetz.

The week of November 12-16, grouped by grade, the Ipswich Public School will be collecting coins that will be presented to Mike and his family on November 30, at the benefit in his honor.

Each day, buckets of coins will be weighed to keep track of the “team” that has gathered the most weight in coins and show the running tally. The “team” that has the heaviest bucket will be the team that receives the honor of presenting the donation check for the full amount to the Williams family on November 30.

Class teams include:

• 12th, junior kindergarten and pre-school

• 11th and 4th

• 10th and 3rd

• 9th and Kindergarten

• 8th and 5th

• 7th and 2nd

• 6th and 1st
