Congratulations to the Ipswich Snow Queen Aleah Steger who was crowned the 2019 State Snow Queen at a program last Saturday in Aberdeen.

That is surely an honor and highlight for the community.

Ipswich native Randy Grismer was revealed as Frosty during the Snow Queen event.

And just in time for possible snow later in the week. They have indeed been talking about an upcoming weather change, but hopefully the real nasty stuff will stay to the south of our local area.

Remember the Martin Luther King Jr. birthday holiday on Monday, Jan. 21. If you are mailing something for the paper send it a day earlier to make the Monday deadline.
