Ipswich/Leola/Bowdle (I-L-B) had a busy week last week, hosting a Thursday quad and then traveling to a Potter County invite in Gettysburg on Saturday.

At the latter event, I-L-B placed 13th with 29 team points among 20 teams that scored. South Border won the event with 204.5 team points, narrowly outpointing the runners-up, Chamberlain, with 203 points.

Ipswich/Leola/Bowdle was led by Carter Heinz, placing third at 195 for 19 of those points. Lucas Rowland placed sixth at 285, scoring the remaining 10 Tiger points.

Meanwhile the Tigers had been winless in their three homecourt duals against Miller/Highmore-Harrold, Mobridge-Pollock and Faulkton, respectively, last Thursday in the Tiger Den. Faulkton swept the event with a 3-0 mark.

Heinz was 2-1 for Ipswich that night and earned one of his team's two individual victories that were actually wrestled on the mat. It was a pin against a Faulkton foe. Brady Unser had obtained the other pin win at 106 and that briefly gave I-L-B a 6-0 lead over Faulkton. The Tigers'remaining team points that evening each came from forfeit wins.
