Berniece Bitz was born December 27, 1948. In 1970, Berniece graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Pierre. She enjoyed the nursing profession, especially long-term care nursing. She made this profession a lifelong passion until cancer impaired her health and she was no longer able to work.

On July 2, 1973, Berniece married Willard Jundt at Aberdeen, fulfilling another life dream of being a wife, and soon after, a mother. Jeffrey was the only child born to this marriage, but the most true blessing a mother could ever ask for. She cherished being a mother and loved spending time with her family, going to movies and vacationing with them.

Grateful for having shared Berniece’s life are her son, Jeffrey Jundt of Lake Orion, Mich.; siblings, Stanley Bitz, Harry Bitz, Vernon Bitz, Glenn Bitz of Aberdeen, Gary Bitz, Larry Bitz; very special friends, Marcy Sieggreen, Mary and Dwight Sieggreen and their family, Elaine Kirkham, Tony and Cindy Simon, and Courtney and Justin Davis; and special dog relatives, Kaiser and Willy

Preceding Berniece in death are her husband, Willy Jundt; parents; sister-in-law, Peggy Bitz; and niece, Miranda Adema.

Berniece died on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Lake Orion, Mich. She has requested no funeral services but wishes God’s Blessings to everyone.
