Local young wrestlers compete

The Ipswich Wrestling Booster Club hosted the AAU District 4 wrestling tournament on March 2, 2019 in the Ipswich gym.

There were 287 young wrestlers competing.

Ipswich area wrestlers competing included:

First place: Matt McCloud, Parker Gill Olson, Brantley Schwartz, Serenity Robinson, Sophie Knittel, Marley Guthmiller, Denver Wolff

Second place: Brady Unser, Justin Rohrbach, Tucker Habeck, Bryce Hochalter, Lane Braun, Gunnar Knittel, Kadyn Weisser

Third place: Ryder Steen, Lewis Judkins

Fourth place: Draycen Easterby, Chance Miller, Clayton Horst

Fifth place: Rowen Bollinger, Jacob Volk, Jaxson Horst, Ben Hoyle

Sixth place: Oliver Dana

Seventh place: Tyler Gellhaus, Levi Patch

Eighth place: Brannon Coulson

Wrestlers not placing were Edison Unser, Cash Regula, Declan Viotto, Gavin Horst

The top eight wrestlers from the district advance to the region, which will be held in Pierre on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
