Ipswich obtained several placements, led by some impressive first-place performances at the Fuller Invitational high school track and field meet at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen last Tuesday.

For starters on the girls’ side, Lily Gaston won a pair of individual events, the 200-meter dash in :28.98 and the long jump at 4.85 meters.

The girls also got a winning effort from Tessa Kilber in the 400-meter dash, clocked at 1:04.18 and Paige Mehlberg added a first-place high jump effort at 1.53 meters. And Kamryn Heinz produced yet another winning individual event, launching the shot put 10.94 meters.

Furthermore, the Ipswich “A” girls won the 4x400-meter relay event , run by Taylor Maurer, Abby Grabowska, Bailey Hammrich and Tessa Kilber in 4:34.03. The Tiger boys’ “A “ 4x400 baton team also won their competition with a 3:50.62 clocking and those runners were Maxwell Geditz, Riley Nehlich, Carson Gohl and Ben Kulesa.

Maxwell Geditz added a winning high jump of 1.93 meters and a first-place 400-meter dash in :54.31. Also credit Kulesa win a winning 800-meter run effort in 2:14.21. And Ty Kadlec placed first for the Tiger boys in the 55-meter dash in :06.64.
