The Ipswich boys' high school golf team placed ninth in the team standings at the Class B Classic tourney in Mitchell last Friday.

The Tigers scored a cumulative 283, led by a pair of Top 15 golfers, Luke Peterson in 13th at 88 and Ethan Gilbert 15th at 89. Matthew Jaenisch was Ipswich's third scorer with his 60th-place 106 and Kaden Boettcher rounded out the effort, placing 65th at 113.

James Valley edged Bon Homme 258 to 259 for the boys' team title. But JJ Beck of Gregory was the top medalist of the day with his 76, while Chase McDonald of Chester Area placed second at 79.
