Boys and girls champs at Eureka track meet

 


Ipswich swept a recent high school track and field invite at Eureka on April 23. The IHS girls overwhelmed runner-up Potter County 221-99 and the Tiger boys outlasted second-place Warner 154-131. (Nine teams scored points in each division!)

“It was a windy day, but we made it a high volume day,” said IHS coach Todd Thorson. “They really competed hard.” And the outcome was some brand new state-qualified events, featuring both state-qualifying shot put and discus throwing championships from Kamryn Heinz at 36-00.00 and 113-00.00, respectively.
