A small business workshop will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. at the First State Bank of Roscoe, 202 N. Mitchell St., Roscoe.

The workshop, free and open to both small and large-sized businesses, includes free rolls and beverage starting at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required. The workshop is also planned in Eureka on Tuesday, May 21 at 5 p.m. at the Prime Time, 719 7th St. in Eureka. This is a free event, open to all businesses and includes dinner. Carla Burns of the Small Business Development Center will share an overview of two basic business financial statements: Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. You will learn how to use the statements to better understand the financial and operational health of your business and how to compare your business with industry benchmarks.

The training will be provided in partnership with the Small Business Administration. GROW South Dakota is a non-profit agency based in Sisseton, serving over 10,000 annually through housing, community and economic development.
