Edmunds County 4-H Achievement Days begin today

 

Edmunds County 4-Hers earned ribbons on a variety of projects last year. This year will be no different.

"Splashing Into 4-H" is the slogan for the 2019 Edmunds County 4-H Achievement Days on July 31 – August 2. Activities take place at the 4-H Grounds in Ipswich.

Wednesday morning starts off the three days with the Dog Show starting at 8 a.m. followed by the Cat Show. The Horse Fun Day at the Trail Days Complex starting at 4 p.m. will finish off the day.

Thursday kicks off with the poultry show at 8:30 a.m. followed by the judging of static projects. The afternoon will include more livestock events which include the rabbit show, heifer futurity contest, and parade of animals to the nursing home.

Thursday will conclude with the evening program which includes the crowning of the 2019 Royalty, pre 4-H Pet Show, and Project Runway.

The Livestock Show is the main event for Friday. This will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will be a Junior Leaders activity and Shooting Sports Demonstration in the afternoon.

The three days will finish Friday with the Pork BBQ starting at 5:30 p.m. and Livestock Premium Sale.

Concessions will be available all three days. Proceeds go to the Edmunds County 4-H program.
