Fiddlin' Around

October 9, 2019

I can't believe it! Apparently it has already become that time of the year for rapid and extreme weather changes, in transition from summer to winter. And I still too vividly recall all those late winter storms earlier this calendar year that lasted well into spring.

So we will definitely get some really cold air that us and our gardens aren't used to and how much precip. and in what form will accompany the cold front does remain to be seen. And there are still Friday night football games around the area this weekend and that could be interesting, including a Herreid/ Selby Area visit to Ipswich to play the Ipswich/Edmunds Central Tigers.

And speaking of football, Northern will be celebrating Gypsy Day on Saturday, ostensibly starting with a parade. But it could indeed be a very chilly one, that's for sure.

So keep those snow shovels handy, just in case.

Editor’s Reminder: Our office will be open Monday, Oct. 14. But some, including the Post Office, may be closed for Columbus Day/Native American Day on Oct. 14. Remember the holiday and remember that the deadline for items for the newspaper is Monday.
