Benefit on December 1 for Maxwell Geditz

IHS Cross Country runner Maxwell Geditz, left, had his senior season stopped early due to an infection.

A benefit is planned for Maxwell Geditz and his family on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 in the Ipswich School.

Geditz, an IHS senior who recently struggled with medical complications. Funds will help offset expenses incurred and ongoing medical appointments.

A basketball scrimmage and fun half-time games, three-point challenge, free throw competition, and half court challenge, will begin at 3 p.m.

Attendees can nominate someone to compete in the half-time games for a free-will donation.

A lasagna supper is also planned. The meal is to be served from 4:30-7 p.m. A free-will donation will be accepted for the meal.

There will also be a silent auction held in conjunction with the scrimmage and supper.

Along with that, raffle tickets are being sold for a chance to win a $500 Ken's gift card. Tickets will be sold until November 27. Tickets are available from any member of the cross country team or at Kids Again Consignment (open Sunday 1-4 p.m.).

Modern Woodman is matching up to $600.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to donate, donations may be dropped off with Crystal at FEM Electric or Shana at the Ipswich School.
