Linda Vollmer, South Dakota Lions District 5 SW District Governor made a visit recently to the Ipswich Lions Club.

Vollmer spoke of the goals of Lions International and how all local Lions Clubs can participate and help support those goals. She reported 245 people die each day from measles around the world; 400 million people live with diabetes and every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. Eradicating measles, tackling diabetes and childhood cancer are just a few of the many initiatives adopted by Lions International as projects that local clubs can help support.

District Governor Linda and her husband Neil make their home in Newell, and as part of her District Governor responsibilities in District 5 SW Linda will attempt to visit all 33 Lions Clubs in the 5SW District.
