TEETH OF EXTINCT BUFFALO FOUND

Pierre, April 18—Animal teeth excavated at a great depth during construction work on the pier at the west approach of the Rosebud bridge over the Missouri river at Wheeler have been identified as those of an extinct species of buffalo, according to a report received by the state department of history from the Smithsonian Institute at Washington D. C. The great age of the relics was indicated by the fact that they were found at a depth of forty feet above which trees among the largest found along the Missouri at this point were growing.
