Ipswich native track and field standout Macy Heinz has traded her University of South Dakota color red and its Coyote mascot for the Kansas State color purple and is now officially a K-State Wildcat, not a Coyote.

"Macy is a Junior indoors and has this year and next year left in indoor track and field. She is not red-shirting this year," says her high school coach Todd Thorson. "In outdoor track and field she will be a Sophomore this year, so she technically will have three seasons left."
