The Ipswich Area varsity wrestlers competed February 6 in the Lake Region Conference dual tournament in Warner.

The team split the evening winning against Warner/ Northwestern and losing to Faulkton Area.

The wrestlers returned to Warner on February 7 for a quadrangular against Warner/Northwestern, Britton-Hecla and Potter County. The Ipswich Area team won all three of their duals on Friday night. The back-to-back duals allowed the team to compete against five of the teams they will face in the regional tournament on February 22 in Sisseton.

Individual results were not available at press time.

Coach Naasz credited the depth of the team in the wins on Friday night. "The depth of our youth help in the team points during the duals and allowed us to move some athletes around." Coach also felt seeing so many of the opponents was good for the team. "The duals went well and we were able to see how we line up with five regional opponents."
