Edmunds County native featured in South Dakota Magazine

April 22, 2020

Birdwatching began as a hobby for D. George Prisbe-Przybysz, perhaps not surprising considering he’s spent over 30 years painting the landscapes of South Dakota. Soon, his adventures outdoors turned dramatically introspective, providing realizations about himself that he never expected.

In the May/June 2020 issue of South Dakota Magazine, Prisbe-Przybysz writes about how his adventures outdoors became an exercise in self-reflection. Prisbe-Przybysz grew up in Edmunds County and now lives at Hanna, a long-abandoned mining village at the upper end of Spearfish Canyon.

South Dakota Magazine is published in Yankton. It explores the history, arts, culture, sports and outdoors of the state. For more information call 1-800-456-5117.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Prisbe-Przybysz designed the Ipswich Centennial mural.
