NEW CHATTEL MORTGAGE LAW
A chattel mortgage law with sharp and terrible teeth in it has been discovered among the measures passed by the state legislature.
An amendment to the present law on chattel mortgages was slipped through in the face of the farm bloc which puts a grave responsibility upon the mortgage to escape a felonious act.
Under the new law the mortgagor is bound to give notice in writing to the mortgagor of the removal of the death of any mortgaged property or animal and failing to do so he may be adjudged guilty of a felony.
