Fiddlin' Around

Do people use the term Happy Fourth of July? Well, if they don't, I will. Happy Fourth of July! And you can say Happy Birthday to our country at the very least. That's especially true this year in spite of the pandemic Several things are still going on as scheduled or possibly modified. I understand that Faulkton will still have a few individual activities over the long weekend, if not the Parade or Rodeo.

And Mina Lake will more than make up for that. Those guys are scheduling more events than ever and turning it into a true patriotic-oriented two-day event (July 3 and July 4).

And we could get a variety of weather in the next several days as well during the long holiday weekend, according to the advanced forecasts. But you could have a picnic at Wylie Park at one of the picnic shelters with a roof. We have done that a couple of times recently, purchasing take-out stuff from one of the fast-food establishments and then eating it at a park shelter. And come to think of it, we have several parks in Ipswich that could be put to good use this weekend, as well as parks in Roscoe and Hosmer.
