Where is the summer going? And obviously spring disappeared just before that. But at least July and August are both 31-day months which is good. Many people are no doubt so busy with summer work that they could use that 31st day of the month and then some to begin catching up (If that's possible!). And July is also one of those months with five Wednesday newspaper editions, making it even more challenging.

It has certainly felt like summer with extraordinary heat and humidity and an occasional down-pour of rain. It was certainly a rainy Monday afternoon and it will be interesting to see how much everybody ended up with in their gauges. Some people were possibly still behind on total moisture for the calendar year, so Monday's monsoon should help alleviate that. And fortunately in Ipswich we got by without wind or hail during that particular weather system.
