Accident claims life of Roscoe man

A Roscoe man has been identified as the person who died the afternoon of Sept. 14, 2020 in a tractor/ sprayer crash near Ipswich.
The 1987 Custom C70 tractor/sprayer was westbound on 132nd Street, a gravel road. The sprayer driver, Blake Lunders, 49, attempted to miss a deer in the roadway, but hit the deer and lost control. The tractor/sprayer went into the north ditch and rolled.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. An obituary can be found on page 5 of this edition.
South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this time.
