The Lilac House is now available in Ipswich for renting rooms.

Elaine Kub, the owner of The Lilac House, said the home has room for 11 to stay comfortably.

Kub purchased the 1907 home. She doesn't know who originally built the home on Main Street and Highway 12.

She has done some work to remodel the home, but much of the original charm, including two large pocket doors, vintage decor and leaded glass windows, remains. The home has three bedrooms up stairs and a laundry room and bathroom. There is also sleeping room on the main floor.

Kub had the kitchen remodelled. While she will not be serving meals, the guests may use the kitchen facilities.

Hunters have already reserved rooms in October and November Kub said. Reservations can be made through Airbnb. The service makes arrangement for lodging at private facilities.
