During their March 23 meeting the Edmunds County Commission accepted the resignation of Veterans Service Officer Ron Hoffer, effective March 31, 2021.

The Commission appointed Barb Schaefer Edmunds County Veterans Service Officer (VSO) effective April 1, 2021.

The new VSO will have office hours from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Edmunds County Courthouse in Ipswich. Her office is on the third floor of the Courthouse.

Schaefer is a National Guard veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. She was a semi driver there.
