Fiddlin' Around

April 28, 2021

April is trying to find its own identity as the month is rapidly passing by.

How so? Sometimes it thinks its March and other times it provides a hint of May and this can change from day to day, as we have been experiencing lately. But almost always there is the wind. And a few showers that featured everything from rain to snow, but still not a whole lot of moisture for this time of the year.

But last Saturday was one of those rare days without much if any wind and the high school golfers and tracksters descended upon Ipswich for their respective Tiger invitationals.

Congrats to all the area placers in both events! I thought that maybe the golf conditions were maybe a little chilly when you're not running at full speed as in track, and that was still with a tee-off postponement until noon. But then we noticed one girl golfer in short shirt sleeves, so I'm thinking "Hey it's not that cold after all!" And it indeed even got a little nicer as the day progressed along!!
