ANDREW THARES SHOT IN ARM

Gun Explodes and Bullet Enters Arm-

Also Injures Neck is in St. Luke’s Hospital

Andrew Thares was accidently shot through the left arm last Friday.

He, in company with Howard Stancer were driving by automobile to the A. F. Dehnert farm east of Ipswich. When about six miles out the car was stopped. Stancer got out of the car to shoot at a rabbit. He placed the gun in the car beside Thares whom he asked to reach in the back seat and get a sack. Thares did so and while in the act of getting the sack, the gun went off. The shot entered his left arm between the wrist and elbow and glanced up over his shoulder tearing a hole in the side of his neck.

He was rushed to St. Luke’s hospital at Aberdeen. It was thought for a time that it would be necessary to amputate his arm, but this has not been done.
