The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs will be hosting a State Bridge Dedication Ceremony to honor Army Combat Veteran Private Bruce Ruby.

The ceremony will be held Monday, August 30, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Scherr Howe Event Center in Mobridge (212 Main Street).

The South Dakota HWY 12 Bridge over the Missouri River will be dedicated to PVT Ruby.

Ruby, of Ipswich, was killed in action in France on November 9, 1944.
