Fiddlin' Around

August 18, 2021

It’s fair week and doesn’t it always rain during the Brown County Fair?

Let’s indeed hope that is the case to help alleviate our on-going drought.

We’ve had some recent southeasterly wind (for a change), and that frequently blows up something as well.

Maybe the southern parts of S.D. have been faring somewhat better with more timely rains because it does appear to be somewhat greener around the countryside.

Those tropical storms can sometimes open up the Gulf moisture even up here. At least it may be somewhat cooler for a while.

Tena’s sister lives in Sioux Falls. Tena went for a quick trip south Saturday and Sunday. Her sister’s lawn mower had quit, so she was making plans to find a new one since her nice green grass was getting too long. If our mower quit our brown, dead grass wouldn’t care much — but I guess the weeds would still grow.
