Fiddlin' Around

August 25, 2021

I guess that the Brown County fairgrounds indeed received some rain during the fair, especially on Sunday. But as the case with thunderstorms they can and do produce some adverse effects and this time it turned out to be really strong wind gusts that apparently caused some damage there.

We were actually waiting until Sunday to attend the fair and after hearing all the weather reports we decided not to make the trip east and that was probably quite a good idea.

And we got more thunder and lightning over night on Sunday into Monday along with some more rain. But these storms haven't been originating very far to the west and are still quite variable with the moisture totals. But anything helps at this point in time.

Now the area schools are in session, along with the fall sports seasons getting underway. It's that time of the year. Some of you fair-goers might want to attend the upcoming State Fair in Huron. It would give you an excuse to go to Huron, because the state cross country meet will apparently not be in Huron this year!
