Fiddlin' Around

September 22, 2021

Everybody is Irish on three days and that one of them would obviously be March 17 on your calendars. The other two days? That would have been September 18th and 19th during the annual Northeast South Dakota Celtic Faire held at the Richmond Lake's Youth Camp.

And what a beautiful two days of weather at a beautiful location! This event was actually canceled last year due to the pandemic, but the organizers really did their job to make up for it. The food and live music were awesome both days. And as you recall the next day's weather was not all that nice for outdoor events. At least not in the morning!

And I think we dodged a bullet frost-wise early Tuesday morning But it is fall as of September 22 and that kind of weather should be expected. But we did have a little more summer-like weather with a severe storm, but fortunately the strongest wind gusts were apparently more to the west, near the River.

There were a lot of athletic things over the past weekend as well, some indoors and some outdoors. It was indeed homecoming both in Ipswich and Edmunds Central last week, highlighted by Friday's parades and the Ipswich and North Central's football wins on Friday evening!
