Safety lessons for local youth

Grant funds from Corteva provided funds for the Safety Day camp. Safety Day was held earlier this year in Ipswich for youth from Edmunds and McPherson counties, including students from five schools - Ipswich, Edmunds Central, Bowdle, Eureka and Leola.

The camp was open to youth ages 8-13 with counselors provided by the local 4-H programs.

Presenters were from the local EMS, Sheriff's Department, S.D. Highway Patrol, electric company, implements, along with specialized safety equipment from local ag cooperatives.
