Fiddlin' Around

November 24, 2021

How about the Class B girls’ volleyball outcome? It was indeed well represented by the three LRC teams of the eight total.

Well represented might be a little bit of a understatement, because Warner won it going 3-0 and the other LRC teams (Faulkton and Aberdeen Christian) each won at least one game there. Faulkton actually placed fourth after winning its opening match over a perennially-solid contender, Arlington. One of Faulkton’s losses was actually to Warner 3-1 in the semis.

Over in Class A Sioux Falls Christian prevailed. Some of their hitting stalwarts maybe could have played for any of the bigger S.F. schools. The AA was won by S.F. O’Gorman coming back from a 2-0 deficit to win it over top-seeded S.F. Washington.

That AA Class is so skilled and advanced that it really is a step up the ladder from Class B and even Class A. Those AA girls are so athletic it is unbelievable. More than one might very well have a NCAA Division I future.

So that is something to be thankful for and the winter sports are right around the corner. Something else to be thankful for if you are a high school sports fan.

Enjoy Thanksgiving!
