The second 2022 federal holiday is rapidly approaching. And that would indeed be Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. I am assuming that our office will be open, but it is indeed a holiday for some schools and offices as well.

That Monday, January 17 will be the second January 2022 holiday, because New Year's Day was obviously the first holiday of the New Year and can be easy to overlook for that very reason, especially since it was a Saturday!

There won't be any mail on January 17 from the Post Office. So if you are intending to send us written news or advertising material through the Postal Service in time for the January 19 edition of our papers, we should have it by the preceding Friday's mail. Or by at least that Saturday (January 15).

Of course that wouldn't be necessary for emailing us your items, as that deadline would still be the usual Monday at noon.
