Local shooters qualify for State Shoot in April

 


The Edmunds County Shooting Sports held their first postal.

Shooting a qualifying score enables the shooter to participate in the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 22-24.

Twelve BB Gun shooters showed their skills in standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone positions. There were also four air pistol shoots and 13 archers that shot the postal. BB Gun members are coached by Ryan Holien and Joe Galbraith, air pistol by Doug Wittmeier, and archery is coached by Jim Kanable.

Qualifying for state in BB Gun were Beginners Ashlyn Heilman-334, Bailey Heintzman-271.1, Kyler Holien-289, Ben Hoyle-321; Junior Sydney Holmes-304; and Senior Hannah Beyers-352.2.

Other BB Gun shooters were Grayson Beyers, Lincoln Beyers, Isabella Galbraith, Mahlia Kadlec, Kalyn Oban, and Adelyn Pollock.

Qualifying in Air Pistol was Lincoln Beyers-118.

Other Air Pistol shooters were Grayson Beyers, Hannah Beyers, and Emerald Wittmeier.


Archers qualifying for state were Juniors Alexis Fischer-CWS-R-129.6, Emerald Wittmeier-CWS-R-111.2; and Senior Grant Fischer-CWS-R-122.4.

Other archery shooters were Grayson Beyers, Lincoln Beyers, Hannah Beyers, Jillian Fischer, Olivia Kadlec, Adam Kanable, Gabe Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Adelyn Pollock, and Emma Wesch.

Members will continue to meet on Mondays to practice for their next postal and hone their skills for the state shoot.
