Fiddlin' Around

March 16, 2022

March is moving along quite quickly for being a 31-day month.

This week we will apparently have celebrated two notable days, Pi Day on Monday and of course St. Patrick's Day on March 17, as it always is. And while you are busy looking at your calendar or more importantly your clocks Sunday was an important day because of the 2 a.m. time change that morning. Next week will start with another important day. Sunday is the first day of Spring! (We hope it will be exactly that.)

In case you are wondering about Pi Day, Pi is a mathematical numerical ratio — 3.1416. But if you really wanted to, I guess you could have baked a pie and had a piece of Pie on Pi Day if you were really craving a piece of peach pie (my favorite). Actually any day could be Pie Day.

(Not to change the subject, but there are a few sports items of interest.)

NSU will be hosting indoor high school track and field meets on March 21 and 28, respectively. So it’s that time of the year again!

Those NCAA tourneys start this week. They will include the USD women vs. Ole Miss and the SDSU men vs. Providence.
