Fourteen Ipswich Area Wrestlers competed at the State AAU Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls March 25-27.

More than 1500 wrestlers from across South Dakota competed at the state tournament. Out of those, only 680 wrestlers made it into the placing rounds.

Ten wrestlers from the Ipswich Area team placed in the top eight.

Sophie Knittel was the first place winner in the Girls 100 division.

Two were second place winners: Cayson Howard, Tots 46 and Tanner Frickson, Junior 145.

Fourth place - Elmer Braun, Tots 46

Seventh place - Isaiah Kadlec, Bantam 47; Ryder Steen, Bantam 91; Clayton Horst, Schoolboy 80; Gunnar Knittel, Schoolboy 150

Eighth place - Asher Miller, Tots 40
