Heading to State B Golf

 


Ipswich and Edmunds Central attended the regional golf tourney on Monday in Pierre.

The Tiger boys placed first as a team, topping Faulkton 240 to 248. Luke Peterson of Ipswich was also the individual medalist with his 68, followed by Bennett Cassens of Faulkton's 74.

Edmunds Central was fourth as a boys' team with a 272, right behind Sully Buttes. They were led by Harrison Beyers in fourth at 81. One other Raider will join Beyers at the State B, Cole Bukaske in 16th with 92.

The other Ipswich golfers were Chet Peterson fifth at 81, Jace Konsor in 15th at 91 and Tucker Kadlec 26th at 99. The team advances intact, but Edmunds Central only those two. Their other boys were Seth Hettick, 24th at 99 and Clark Beyers 38th at 107.)

Miller defeated Potter County 281 to 285 for the girls' team title, led by Jayce Pugh with her 85. Next was Olivia Mikkelson of Potter County at 88. Ipswich's Mollie Simon advances to the B with her 15th-place 108. Teammate Rylee Kleffman had a 129 for 26th. Edmunds Central's lone girl was Emma Beyers in 22nd at 122.


The State B tourneys are both in the Rapid City area on June 6-7.
