Davis announces candidacy

 


Justin Davis has announced he is seeking another term on the Ipswich Board of Education. The election will be held Tuesday, June 21 at the school.

Davis is focused on providing the tools and environment the staff and administration need to provide a high-quality education to the students of our community. Davis says going forward the Board will have to continue addressing increasing student numbers in the Elementary School, providing the needed programs to help customize student’s education plans.

Davis graduated from Ipswich High School, received his BS in Ag Business from South Dakota State University in 2000, served in the South Dakota Legislature from 2003-2008, served on the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council for 6 years, was past President of the Ipswich Commercial Club, and has been a member of the Ipswich Volunteer Fire Department since 2005. Davis farms with his family in the Ipswich area. His wife Courtney is a Pre-school/Jr.K teacher in Ipswich. He has 3 children that attend the Ipswich School. Ava and Brody will be freshmen this next year and Edy will be a 3rd grader.


Davis was first elected to the Board in 2010.
