Summer Downpour

Pictured is a garden area north of the railroad tracks in Ipswich.

Water could be found throughout the area after a late July 3 thunderstorm left several inches of rain.

The rain caused flash flooding with water filling low spots and closing roads with water damage.

Ipswich weather observer Marv Seyer had 2.8 inches of precipitation.

Many of the lakes had disappeared by Tuesday.
