Funeral services for Joan G. Rohrbach, 82, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Roscoe, were 1 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Heidi Youngquist officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Aberdeen.

Joan died peacefully with family by her side, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

Joan was born April 5, 1940, to Theodore and Martha (Himmerich) Blumhardt in Roscoe. She grew up there and was the third of 11 children.

Joan was united in marriage to Jerold "Chuck" Rohrbach in October of 1963. They lived on a farm south of Roscoe. They were blessed with five children: Sally, Mike, Sue, Scott, and Troy. She was a kind and loving mother and loved cooking and baking for the family. She loved all her grandchildren and her great-grandson.

Grateful for having shared Joan's life are her children, Sally (Mike) Friske, Mike (Penny) Rohrbach, Sue (Gervase) Imberi, Scott (Krista) Rohrbach and Troy (Missy) Rohrbach; grandchildren, Breona Friske, Tyler and Josh Rohrbach, Tasha and Cody Imberi, Nathan and Ashlynn Rohrbach, and Brady Rohrbach; great-grandson Hayden Friske; brothers, Art Blumhardt, Delbert (Pam) Blumhardt, Darvin (Patty) Blumhardt, Mark Blumhardt, and Melvin (Kelly) Blumhardt; sisters, Arlene (Chuck) Hines, Gloria (Leon) Jung, and Nancy (Arden) Lenling.

Preceding Joan in death are her parents Theodore and Martha Blumhardt, brother Harold Blumhardt, and sister Virginia Ernst.
