Ipswich hosts Cross Country meet, boys second

Tigers Xavier Kadlec and Turner Thorson among the runners as the race gets going.

Ipswich had a busy day hosting its cross country invitational last Saturday at Split Rock.

The Tiger boys were able to finish second only to Miller 10 to 17 as a team. And the Tiger girls only entered two varsity runners that day, but Madisyn Gellhaus was third in 19:41.79 and Gracyn Kadlec fourth in 19:49.88.

But running for some additional experience that day, Ipswich's Aubrey DeRaad would indeed win the girls' JV competition at 17:02.12.
