Ipswich dropped a 45-30 girls high school basketball outcome to James Valley Christian in Huron last Saturday. It was part of a twinbill along with the IHS boys vs. their JVC counterparts.

The Tiger girls fell behind 17-4 in the opening quarter but managed to hang around the rest of the game. (The hosts' largest lead would be by 18 point.) It was 30-13 for the hosts at intermission and they then outscored Ipswich 8-6 in the third quarter.

Ipswich was led by Quincy Olivier who paced Ipswich with eight points followed by Kaylin Onken with six points and Ashlyn Weig with five points including a trey. Sommer DeRaad tallied Ipswich's remaining trey in her three-point scoring effort. Gabby Wald scored two points, as did Anna Nierman , Katie Bierman and Brianna Geditz.

The hosts and all scorers for that matter were led by K. Robinson with 22 points and she also garnered 12 rebounds for a double-double in anybody's book. They were able to obtain four additional scorers that day.

Ipswich totaled 14 rebounds led by Olivier with five retrieves. JVC grabbed 29. The hosts sustained only 12 turnovers; Ipswich, 20.

Ipswich totaled 14 field goals that included those two treys, but didn't get to the free throw line during that game. Meanwhile, the hosts totaled 15 floor shots including three treys and were 12-18 in free throw tries.
