CONFISCATED LIQUOR DESTROYED SATURDAY

Beer and Canadian whiskey flowed freely Saturday afternoon in Ipswich at the court house yard when the liquor confiscated by the sheriff’s office was emptied and the bottles smashed up.

Members of the local W. C. T. U. assisted in the breaking of bottles. Mrs. W. E. Herrick and Mrs. James W. McCarter presiding. Edwin Herrick and William Mears also assisted under the direction of officials.

Eighty quarts of beer, 24 quarts of Canadian Scotch whiskey, moonshine liquor, a lot of mash, still equipment, etc....
