The Ipswich boys and the Faulkton girls won their respective Lake Region Conference varsity golf team titles on May 4 in Aberdeen.

The Tiger boys would edge the Faulkton Area boys 238 to 254 and the Trojan girls would defeat runners-up Ipswich 280 to 373.

The Tiger boys would indeed be led by Jace Konsor's 78 and teammate Chet Peterson finished in second at 80. Their third scorer would become Tucker Kadlec in seventh at 89. Hayden Schlosser was then 13th with his 101.

Now in the girls' individual outcomes Gabby Kost of Faulkton led all girls with her 88 followed by her teammate Trisha Cramer at 91. And Faulkton golfers also finished third and fourth.

But Ipswich's Baylee Kulesa was fifth at 113, followed by Hailey Usselman in sixth at 129 and Rylee Kleffman was seventh in 131.

Ipswich had a whole bunch of JV boys, led by Jace Stiles in first at 47. Trevor Larson was second at 48 and Sam Bass third in 49. Ben Hoyle placed fifth at 51. And Brevyn Pitz was 10th at 59, followed by Brooks Osborne in 11th at 61 and Brody Beitelspacher was 14th in 66. Jasper Opsahl rounded out their effort with his 74 for 16th.
