Edmunds County hosted a Retirement Party for Auditor Keith Schurr on Dec. 17.
Schurr started with Edmunds County in 1989 as Deputy Auditor and took office as Auditor in February 1995, serving 7.5 terms.
Keith's last day is January 3, 2025. Dionne Olson who has been Deputy Auditor since December 2014 has been appointed as Auditor.
Some of the changes over Keith's time as Auditor include larger and more advanced equipment in the highway department, technology in the courthouse, and the transition from election hand count to machine count of the ballots.
